Elkins Fish and Game Club
Established in 1894, Elkins Fish and Game is New Hampshire’s oldest, continuously operating fish and game club. If you’re looking to get into fishing, or expand your skills, they offer several classes taught by expert NH Fish and Game instructors. They also host many activities each year from fishing derbies to wildlife exhibits to their Cardboard Boat Regatta.

Annual Fishing Events
Fishing Down Under
Location: Kezar Lake
Hosted by Elkins Fish and Game Club, this annual ice fishing event is held each January as a fundraiser to support local area families in financial difficulty. Winners are announced in both the adult and kids’ divisions. Visit Elkins Fish and Game Club for update event details.
Rock Bass Fishing Derby
Location: Lake Sunapee
Generally held in early August, the derby is free and open to all. Fish anywhere in Lake Sunapee and weigh in at Sunapee Harbor. For event updates, contact Sunapee Recreation Department at 603-748-1070.
