KEY TAKEAWAYS FOR BUYING OR SELLING IN TODAY’S MARKET
For Buyers:
- Stay Informed About the Market: Inventory is constantly changing, with some areas seeing new listings daily and others with price reductions. Even if you’re just casually looking, a Saved Property Search is a great way to stay on top of what’s coming onto the market. Don’t have time to set one up, let us do the work for you!
- Don’t Be Put Off by Competition: If you know what you want, don’t hesitate to make an offer—even if a property is getting a lot of attention. We’ve heard from buyers who passed on submitting an offer because they assumed there was too much activity, only to find out their offer would have been accepted.
- Go to Open Houses:(Even for homes you’re not sure about!): It’s Open House season and the more homes you see, the more confident you’ll feel when the right one comes along. Plus, it helps you avoid that “FOMO” feeling when you need to act quickly.
For Sellers:
- Small Maintenance Repairs Make a BIG Difference: With inventory increasing, buyers now have more options. Small repairs can go a long way in shaping how buyers perceive your property. When they see a well-maintained home, it gives them confidence.
- Enhance Curb Appeal: Late spring and early summer is the perfect time to show off your outdoor spaces. Focus on the front entryway, driveway, and yard—first impressions are made when buyers pull up to the house, so make it shine!
- Highlight Your Location: The Lake Sunapee Region is one of New Hampshire’s most scenic spots. The lakes, mountains, trails, and proximity to the Upper Valley and Concord are big selling points—be sure to showcase them!
