The 2024 summer season in the Lake Sunapee Region is here! Below is a list of Lake Sunapee Region summer events including live music and entertainment performances. We’ll continue adding to the event list as more are announced. If you know of an event that should be included, send it our way

LIVE MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT

Live Music at the Livery
Live music, great venue, lots of fun! Some of the 2024 performances include Ari Test, The Rough and Tumble, Rhythm Future Quartet, Madou Sidiki Diabate, April Cushman and more! Visit The Livery to buy your tickets.


New London Barn Playhouse
2024 shows include: Little Shop of Horrors, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Driving Miss Daisy, Jersey Boys, Rent, and Clue. Shows sell out so don’t wait to purchase your tickets!


Newbury Summer Concerts
Enjoy live music on Thursday evenings, June through August in Newbury Harbor. Check out the schedule on the Town of Newbury website.


Concerts on the Newport Common
A live music concert series held every Sunday in July and August. Hosted by the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce. 

Music on the Wilmot Bandstand
A Saturday evening concert series held in the picturesque town of Wilmot, New Hampshire. Presented by the Wilmot Bandstand Committee.


Main Street Warner Stage
If you're looking for a fun and relaxing evening out, head over to this amphitheater for a summer performance! View the 2024 event schedule.

The Fells Summer Concert Series
Held on Wednesday and Sunday evenings, June through September, the Fells brings a diverse selection of musicians for all to enjoy. View the 2024 concert series line-up.

JUNE

June 1
Kiwanis of Claremont First Annual Kids Fishing Derby

Join Kiwanis for the first annual fishing derby at Corbin Bridge (Parlin Field, 8 Airport Rd), Newport from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Registration starts at 7:30 am and lunch will be served from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Prizes for all participants! 

 

June 15
10th Annual Newport Brewfest

Sample some of the best beers and ciders from local brewers and brewpubs. Hosted by the Newport Area Chamber of Commerce.

 

Warner's 250th Birthday Celebration
Live music by Nick's Other Band, great food, raffles and more! 5:00 - 8:00 pm at John Mitchell Park

 

June 22
Strawberry Fest 2024

Stop by the New London Town Green from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and celebrate the Strawberry season with New London Recreation Department! There will be vendors, delicious food, entertainment, a bounce house and of course, strawberry shortcake!


Old Ford Day at the Ice House Museum
Visit the Ice House Museum from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm to explore this special collection of automobiles, or stop by with your own special Model T or Model A!


Save a Stray 5k
Get ready for a fun 5k road race! The race will take you through the historic Corbin Covered Bridge, and end with a post race awards ceremony and BBQ. Visit Sullivan County Humane Society to learn more and sign up!

June 26
Nature's Way Series | Tier I: The Nature of Nature

Gain skills in breath-work & focused attention, while exploring the power of perspective & useful characteristics of nature on the accessible pathways at SHEI in South Sutton, NH. Open to Newcomers! Disability Focused, but All Are Welcome--Visit Sunset Hill Educational Institute's (SHEI) website to learn more.


June 29
Grantham's Old Home Day Celebration

A pancake breakfast kicks-off this Old Home Day celebration followed by a parade, more delicious food and festivities at the Grantham Rec Park. 


3rd Annual Newport Wings and Wheels Car Show
Get ready for a fun day at Parlin Field! Cars, trucks, motorcycles, food vendors, a DJ and more! Visit the Newport Chamber of Commerce website to learn more.


June Jam at Muster Field Farm
Located in Sutton, NH, Muster Field Farm is a joy to visit all summer long! But one of our favorite events is enjoying this special place during June Jam! Gate opens at 3:30 pm, music starts at 4:00 pm. More info here.


Potter Place Festival
Head on over to Andover, New Hampshire for the Potter Place Festival (formerly known as "The Old Time Fair") from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. This event celebrates Andover's history and there will be vendors, great food, a craft market, kids' games, exhibits and live music! Visit the Andover Historical Society website to learn more.

 

June 29 - 30
The Exchange

A vintage inspired market featuring handmade items, local artisans, food trucks and more! If you can't attend in June, The Exchange returns to Andover, NH on August 10 and 11. More details on their Facebook page.

July 5 - 21
U-Pick at Pumpkin Blossom Farm Lavender Fields

Walk through the lavender fields and pick your own lavender bundles! A trip to this scenic farm is not complete without a visit to their barn store and a glass of their lavender lemonade. Make sure to take a look at their event schedule for other fun activites including candelight yoga, photography sessions, and wreath and craft classes--make sure to book classes in advance as they do sell out.

 

July 12 - 13
Arts Weekend 2024

This fun weekend starts on Friday with a preview of Naturally New England, juried art show held at the Livery in Sunapee Harbor and an opening reception at Deck Dock. Continuing on Saturday with a Fine Arts and Crafts Show, an art event at Prospect Hill Antiques and Gallery, and more! Visit the Center For the Arts website for additional details.

July 13
Newbury Old Home Day

Held on the second Saturday in July, this event is always so much fun! Enjoy live performances, activities, games, crafts, great food and more! Check out the Newbury Old Home Day Facebook Page for updates on the event.


Naturally New England Art Show and Sale
Hosted by Center for the Arts, enjoy works by more than 75 juried artists at the Livery in Sunapee Harbor. Open weekdays 12:00 - 4:00 pm and weekends 11:00 am - 7:00 pm until July 23rd.


July 16
Sunset Yoga & Meditation

Visit Sunset Hill Educational Institute (SHEI) in South Sutton and relax with mental yoga, strengthening and meditation. SHEI holds numerous events throughout the summer, take a look at their events calendar here.

July 18
Ladies Night Paradise Party

Hosted by the Center for the Arts, this fun Caribbean evening will feature a steel drum band,  paradise cocktails, treats, raffle prizes and more!

July 28
Murder Mystery Cruise

Enjoy and an afternoon of intrigue and mystery on the M.V. Lake Queen as she sales around Lake Sunapee! This summer's mystery is set in the 1950's and guests are welcome to dress in periodic inspired clothing. Prize awarded for best detective and best 1950's attire! This event is hosted by Newport Opera House, visit their website to learn more and to purchase tickets.

Local Note: We attended this event last year and had a blast! Tickets sell out quick so don't wait too long. If you miss the July event, they are hosting a second murder mystery cruise on August 4.

Rock, Blues 'N' BBQ
This event is hosted by Andover Community Hub and features live music by Nick's Other Band. There will be a feast of sliders, salads and more! Check out their Facebook event to learn more! Tickets are required and can be purchased in advance or at the door.


AUGUST

August 1 - 3
98th Annual Hospital Days

Main Street, New London
This year's parade theme is A Celebration of the Games, Road to New London. View the 2024 Hospital Days schedule.

August 3 - 11
91st Annual League of NH Craftsmen Annual Craftsmen’s Fair

Held at Mount Sunapee Resort, August 3-11, this fair runs for nine days and features more than 200 craftsmen at this iconic arts event. Enjoy curated exhibitions and an impressive display of fine crafts as well as demonstrations. Purchase tickets at the gate.

 

August 4
Murder Mystery Cruise
If you missed their July event, this is your chance to enjoy an afternoon of intrigue and mystery on the M.V. Lake Queen as she sales around Lake Sunapee! August 10
Antique Tractor and One Lunger Day

Visit the Ice House Museum for a fun and informative event as they pull out their one-lunger engines and antique tractors!


Farm to Fork Dinner at the New London Historical Society
A delicious evening of fun and good cheer featuring local farms and restaurants. Tickets do sell out so watch for additional details from the New London Historical Society.


August 11
Love Your Lake Day

Visit the Center for Lake Studies and join the Lake Sunapee Protective Association for exciting exhibits, face painting, games, crafts, live animal presentation by Squam Lake Science Center and so much more! 9:30 am - 1:00 pm, more information on LSPA's website.

August 16
WHIM Kayak Day with NEHSA

If you're an experienced adaptive kayaker or it's your first time kayaking with a disability, SHEI and the New England Healing Sports Association (NEHSA) welcome you to this WHIM kayak day! Visit the Sunset Hill Educational Institute (SHEI) website to register and to view their other summer events.


August 17
Rhythm & Brews Festival at Mount Sunapee Resort

Mark your calendars for Mount Sunapee's first annual Rhythm & Brews Festival! Enjoy live performances by Entrain and The Bulkheads, along with a selection of local craft beers. Learn more.

August 24 - 25
Farm Days at Muster Field Farm

This is Muster Fields largest annual event and features special exhibts, demonstrations, hay rides, animals, cars and tractors, and so much more! Learn more here.

SEPTEMBER

September 7
Herbs with Grace

identifies wild herbs and makes herbal infusions alongside Grace Krupkowski from Trilogy Herbalism - "connecting plants, people, and wellness." Held at Sunset Hill Educational Institute (SHEI) in South Sutton -- visit their website to learn more and register.

September 8
Wilmotpalooza!

Join the Wilmot Community Association (WCA) from 11:00 am - 2:30 pm on the Wilmot Town Green for live music, great food, activities, exhibits and more! Visit the WCA website for more info.


September 15
Autumn Vibes

Hosted by Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a Sunapee Region Board of Realtors and Business Partners committee, this 4th annual event is held at Muster Field Farm. Enjoy an evening of live music, games, good food and fun. Tickets sell out, visit SRBR's website for more info.
