March 16 – 17 is New Hampshire Maple weekend. Although sugaring takes place as long as the weather allows, Maple weekend is when many of the sugar houses, and surrounding businesses host special events. A couple taking place in the Lake Sunapee Region include:
Sanctuary Dairy Farm

Celebrating Maple season on March 16, 17, 23 and 24, Sanctuary Dairy will be offering several sweet treats including maple marshmallows roasted over an open fire, Cathy’s donuts, maple cotton candy and so much more. For breakfast and brunch lovers, get ready for pancakes, waffles, Monte Cristo sandwiches, corn fritters and of course, maple sausage. Keep an eye out for updates on Sanctuary Dairy’s Facebook page.
Harding Hill Farm Pancake Breakfast
545 Stagecoach Road, Sunapee, NH
On March 16, Harding Hill Farm will team up with Scott Brothers Kitchen for a pancake breakfast! Take a tour of the Sugar House and then enjoy pancakes, eggs, sausage all topped off with the fresh maple syrup. Breakfast starts at 9:00 am and goes until they run out.
