Independence Day is a wonderful time to explore and spend time in the Lake Sunapee Region with events planned throughout our many towns. Below is a summary of what's on the schedule for fun this July!
Saturday, July 1st
Sunapee Harbor Fireworks 8:00 to 10:00 pm
Independence Day Parade 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
The Independence Day Parade is normally held on the morning of the Fireworks display. It starts at Old Georges Mills Road, goes up Central Street, through the Harbor, and down River Road, finishing at the end of Central St.

Fireworks Show - 9:00 pm

Community church fair, fire department BBQ, Square Dancing, Food truck, Nicks Other Band and more! Click here to view the full scheduled.
Monday, July 3rd
Sunapee Yacht Club Fireworks - Show begins at dusk
Tuesday, July 4th
South Newbury 4th of July Parade - 9:45 am
At Monadnock Park. Starting at 6:00 pm, the celebrations begin with Jester Jigs performing live, many local vendors and fireworks show about 9:30. This can be seen throughout Claremont, but all the fun is at Monadnock Park.
Saturday, July 8th
Newbury Old Home Day
Food Trucks All Day, Dunk Tank, Craft Fair/Farmers Market, Pony Rides, Climbing Wall, Fireworks at Dusk and so much more! To see the complete schedule of events, visit the Newbury Town website here.
Pleasant Lake, New London
Pleasant Lake Boat Parade - 2:00 pm
Fireworks Show - 9:30 pm
A huge thank you to Slope 'n Shore for once again welcoming the community to view fireworks from the lawn on Pleasant Street, across from the Inn at Pleasant Lake. Parking on Knollwood Road.
