It’s Maple Month!
Sick of being inside? Ready to be out and about exploring? Maple month is the best place to start! Maple month kick starts the spring season here in New Hampshire. Throughout the month you will see small town sugar shacks booming and making products. Can’t make it to a sugar shack or sugar house for tour? Head on over to the Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum in Warner to check out their demonstrations, samples and much more!
Start off in Newbury with a tour of Ben’s Sugar Shack. Ben’s Sugar Shack, offers an assortment of items and goodies for sale. From here it's just a short drive to Harden Hill Farm in Sunapee--they produce almost 1,000 gallons of maple syrup each year!
Take a tour of a small town sugar shack, gain history and knowledge of the process, and learn about town it's located in. Maple weekend kicks off March 19 and 20. During this weekend, you get the inside scoop of how maple syrup is made! Can’t make it out for Maple weekend? Don’t worry, most Sugar houses do ship so you can enjoy your favorite maple goodies at home.
