Springtime in New London, NH Now that the days are a little warmer, its easy to start planning summer weekend getaways. However, we encourage you to not look too far ahead and miss out on all the fun that New London and the surrounding towns have to offer this spring. 1. May 4th, 5:30 pm - Center for the Arts First Friday Gallery Stroll Eat, Sip, Stroll, and be Artsy! 2. May 5th, 7:30 am - 9:00 am - Birding by Sight at The Fells Historic Estate & Gardens Seek out The Fells (2018 New Hampshire Magazine "Best of NH" award recipient) in neighboring town, Newbury and get your birding on! 3. May 5th, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm - Annual Community Appreciation Day Hosted by Clarkes Hardware, this event features a BBQ cookout (burgers and dogs) music by the Fondtones, a CarNutz Car Show and Touch-A-Truck for the kids! 5. May 17th, 9:00 am - Black Fly Golf Open Dust off your clubs and join the Lake Sunapee Region Chamber of Commerce for their annual golf fundraiser. 7. May 19th - Dancing with the Stars from 5:30 pm Reception and 7:00 pm Showtime Hosted by the Center for the Arts, Lake Sunapee Region, this is a fantastically fun show! May 19th, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm - Spring Into Warner Arts Festival In just a 15min drive south of New Lonon, you will find yourself in Warner, NH for their 11th annual Spring into Warner Arts Festival! Beautiful Main Street opens up and you will find unique and amazing local artists and artisans, musicians, and farmers. 10. May 28th,7:30 am Registration, 9:00 am Race Start- WCA Black Fly Blitz A fun 5k run that concludes with a post-race celebration and music on the bandstand! 11. June 2nd - American Hiking Society's National Trails Day What a perfect day to get out and take advantage of one of the locally maintained trails! Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust and the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway offer miles and miles of great trails and fantastic view sites! 15. June 23rd, 10:00am - 3:00pm - New London Strawberry Festival Okay, we know this event falls after the Summer Solstice, but its one of our favorites and we wanted to share it early! If youre anywhere near New London, NH this weekend, dont miss out on all the family fun, live music, delicious food, and yesstrawberry shortcake (made with local strawberries from the Spring Ledge Farm strawberry fields) that the Strawberry Festival brings to town.
