Our experience as first time home-buyers, working with Dan, was nothing but positive. Within 20 minutes of our first showing and conversation, I felt comfortable with him. Dan has an exceptional knowledge of real estate, market values in his area, and a wealth of knowledge in other areas that I never would have expected that came in very handy. I stumbled upon Dan as the listing agent for a property in the Sunapee region when I began looking a year ago. While it wasn’t a fit, Dan offered to spend his Saturday showing me other places in the area that fit my idea of a perfect lake house. Over the subsequent months, Dan continued to share opportunities with me and was beyond patient in trying to understand what I wanted relative to things like water quality, structure, location, frontage and design. (Some of these things I was still figuring out). When the right property came up, Dan was well ahead of the daily alerts and worked with me to get into the house within two days. His research exceeded expectation as he tracked down multiple details on the property. He has provided an amazing network of financial, local and skilled resources and I have no doubt that he will continue to offer his expertise beyond my recent closing. Dan always got back with an answer via phone, text or email. He accommodated my travel schedule and coordinated with all involved parties for a smooth transaction. He even made copies of keys and let associates into the house to assess potential work. In short, Dan was fabulous to work with and I welcome the opportunity to recommend him to others.

Dan has excellent local market knowledge that extends beyond just a fantastic sense of what is a good relative value in the markets he follows. He knew as much about the financing process as he did about the buying process (which proved to be valuable). He was also invaluable in recommending other professionals necessary in the purchase of a home. I echo what others have said in regards to his patience as he answered all of our questions and met our needle in the haystack requirements. Dan is also a tireless worker as e-mails and voice mails were responded to very quickly regardless of the time or day of the week they were sent. He was fabulous at providing comparable sales figures and providing an honest opinion on the value of each property. We got a great house at a great price and Dan is the one to thank for that. He was great to deal with and I have no reservations recommending him.

When we decided to start looking for lakefront property in the area, Dan was highly recommended by close friends who had used him over several years and bought two properties through his services. We were not disappointed. As out-of-staters with a very specific idea of what we wanted in a property, and a budget we needed to stay within, we were no doubt a challenge...but Dan immediately grasped what we were looking for and patiently kept up the search on our behalf, staying in touch periodically, sending us relevant materials and dropping everything to show us properties whenever we came to NH. When we did finally hit on the right property, Dan went above and beyond in making sure the deal went through, displaying extraordinary patience, good humor, valuable insights and a willingness to help on every aspect, to include lining up a variety of contractors for estimates. He was responsive, attentive and always available. Of the many realtors I have known and dealt with through the years, Dan stands out for his ability to combine professionalism and personality; he was a pleasure to deal with and I recommend him without qualification.

My husband and I were first time home buyers and Dan did a wonderful job at guiding us through the process, explaining all the details along the way.

We first contacted Dan late on a Friday night when we inquired about a listing that turned out to be one of his properties. We were surprised the next morning to have a quick and thoughtful response by email. A short while later we were talking on the phone and he was asking a few questions to determine what we were interested in finding. Armed with that knowledge, he was able to show us only homes that met our criteria. There weren't any duds. That seemed all the more impressive given that we were working with Dan during a difficult time in the market. He didn't just show us his own listings. In fact, the house we ultimately bought with Dan's help was listed by another agent but Dan led us there. Throughout the process he was always available, patient with our questions and showed a real passion for doing his job well. We also appreciated his willingness to offer his assessment even if it was different from ours. We never got the feeling that he was simply telling us what we wanted to hear. That honesty was a big help in buying a home in an uncertain market. Dan clearly wants to help get people the right home in an area that he cares about. And his easy-going nature helped take some of the stress out of buying a home. We'd be happy to work with him again.

We bought a piece of land in Newbury, NH with Dan in 2010. As we were base abroad Dan's use of the internet, email and video was a huge benefit to us. Unprompted he documented potential plots n video and put them online for us to see. He educated us and walked land with us for at least 2 years (sorry for wearing out your shoe leather, Dan!) before we found the perfect plot. 
At all times we felt he went the extra mile to understand what WE wanted and help us find it, rather than to try and sell us 'what was out there'. We ended up with our dream plot and we learned a huge amount about the local area from him as we searched. Dan is fair, discrete and completely professional. He guided us through the buying process with clear explanations and very prompt responses at all times. We are currently in the process (April 2011) of buying a house via him as he has impressed us so much.

I have known Dan for almost 7 years now. I have had several Real Estate dealings with him, as a seller and as a buyer. He is a spectacular agent. Dan is the person you need in todays market to get successful transactions completed. Dan is very knowledgeable of the market. He has good relationships with other brokers in the region, which helps with communications and getting deals to the table. He has the highest degree of trust and honesty that I have ever seen in a Real Estate agent. I will only work with Dan O'Halloran in the future.

Dan did a great job in helping me find a house. Dan has extensive local knowledge. It is almost scary how much he knows about the Sunapee Area. He is knowledgeable of the sales process as well. He understands the right questions to ask in short-sales and houses that are in foreclosure. He is very up front and wont tell you what you want to hear, just for the sake of it. (Even though sometimes I wish he would have just told me what I wanted to hear) He is very realistic. His responsiveness might be one best differentiators between him and other real estate agents. That 1 characteristic alone is why he is was the agent that I stuck with. He was always able to adjust his schedule to help me out. I think he works 24-7. Its great!!!
