Located in Sullivan County, the town of Grantham was considered the fastest growing town in the county between 2000 and 2010.  Today, the town boasts a population of about 2,985 residents.


Grantham was originally incorporated in 1761.  The town was named after Thomas Robinson, 1st Baron Grantham, who was Secretary of State for the Southern Department between 1754 and 1755.

The 27.6 square mile town is home to both the Grantham Village School as well as the historical Dunbar Free Library.
